Farmer's Note
In 2002, we took over Longyuan Tea Garden and Factory from the local government. Step by step, we turned this space into a three-dimensional organic tea garden, focusing on biodiversity of trees, tea bushes and grass. We methodically planted and cared for over 30 different species of trees and 5 kinds of grass. Because of this unique environment, the surrounding areas regard our tea garden as a tourist attraction to get close to the nature and learn about tea agriculture. We are happy to accept that new reality, as income from tea-tourism allows us to invest more in the maintenance and enhancement of our organic tea garden.
This elegant Right Heart white tea went through 72 hours of extended withering (comparing to the typical 36-hour process). As a result, this slightly more oxidized white tea is able to offer a more full-bodied experience. It then went through three stages of sorting, intended to remove excessively long stems that are common in white teas for a more tender appearance. We drew inspiration for the name from the right side of our tea garden where this particular Zhenghe Da Bai lot was harvested from. The tea bushes are nestled in a narrow valley between two mountain slopes that become one towards the foot of the hills, forming a heart shape, hence “Right Heart”.
