Farmer's Note
Three generations of my family have dedicated their entire lives to growing and processing Dragon Well. Working together with other tea farmers from Pan’an village, we have largely preserved the forest that now covers 75% of the entire village. Living among 5,200 mountain peaks, it is impossible to industrialize the area like how other rural areas in China have done. But this is really a blessing; we are able to grow the tea plants in an agroforest environment which allows us to only use organic fertilizer and no chemical pesticides. Our tea garden sits at 2,700ft elevation, with clouds and mist wrapping around the tea plants all year round. Tea leaves are harvested at a much later date due to the colder temperature, which results in more balanced and complex flavor notes. We hope you enjoy this Dragon Well!
